The Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF, Trust Fund) was established by ACT 680, 2004 by the Government of Ghana to provide financial resources to Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).
Mandate
In accordance with the VCTF ACT 680, 2004 the VCTF is to: “Provide financial resources for the development and promotion of venture capital financing for SMEs in Ghana by;
- Providing credit and equity financing to eligible Venture Capital Finance Companies (VCFCs) to support SMEs; and
- The provision of monies to support other activities and programs for the promotion of venture capital financing, as the Board may determine in consultation with the Minister."

Our vision is to create a vibrant and well structured venture capital industry boasting of investments in various sectors, leading to poverty reduction through job and wealth creation with a collateral growth in government revenues.
